Providence Street

Providence Street

Providence Street looking towards Osborne Road about 1912

This is one of the original streets of Earlsdon set out in the 1850s. The photographer has his back to the junction with Earlsdon Street. Originally the street would have ended in the middle distance with a sharp left turn into Cromwell Street (Berkeley Road South). By the time of this photograph the street had been extended and the new part called Osborne Road had created a southern exit onto Styvechale Avenue.
